Emergency Dentist in Greensboro, NC

Dental emergencies rarely happen at a convenient time. If you're in pain, call us right away — we'll do our best to see you as soon as possible.

Common Dental Emergencies

We treat a wide range of urgent dental problems, including severe toothaches, cracked or broken teeth, knocked-out teeth, lost fillings or crowns, dental abscesses and swelling, and injuries to the gums or mouth.

Calling as soon as possible gives us the best chance of saving a damaged tooth and relieving your pain quickly.

What to Do Before Your Visit

For a knocked-out tooth, hold it by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it and try to place it back in the socket, or keep it in milk and come in right away. For swelling, use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek. If you have facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept same-day emergency appointments?

Call us as early as possible. We make every effort to see dental emergencies the same day.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe pain, swelling, bleeding that won't stop, a knocked-out or broken tooth, or anything that makes it hard to eat or sleep should be treated as urgent.

Should I go to the ER for a toothache?

Hospital ERs can help with pain and swelling but usually can't fix the tooth. Call us first unless you have trouble breathing or swallowing.
